One kg of an ideal gas (gas constant R=287J/kg-K) undergoes an irreversible process from state- I ( 1 bar, 300K ) to state-2 ( 2 bar, 300K). The change in specific entropy (s2−s1) of the gas (in J/kg.K) in the process is ____________

The change in entropy of the system is negative because of the compression process.
But the question is then, according to the law of increase of entropy why is it decreasing?
Is it increasing anywhere else? If yes then where?
