What is terminal temperature difference (TTD) in closed feedwater heaters (FWH)?

Answer:

closed feedwater heater

The water exit temperature at 9 can not reach the inlet bled steam temperature. A terminal temperature difference is defined for all closed feedwater heaters as

TTD = saturation temperature of bled steam - exit water temperature

TTD = t7 - t9
