What is no-slip condition?

Ans: Whenever a fluid flows over a solid surface or inside a stationary pipe the fluid in motion sticks to the solid and assumes zero velocity relative to the surface.

This condition is known as no-slip condition. The fluid property responsible for the no-slip condition and development of boundary layer is viscosity.

The no-slip condition is responsible for development of boundary layer.
