Are vapor pressure and saturation pressure the same?

Ans: Saturation pressure is the pressure at which a pure substance changes phase (for example liquid to vapor).

On the other hand, the vapor pressure of pure substance is defined as the pressure exerted by its vapor in phase equilibrium with its liquid at a given temperature.

To answer the question, yes, the vapor pressure is a property of pure substance and it is identical to saturation pressure Psat of liquid. (Pv =Psat)
