What is the difference between partial pressure and vapor pressure?

Ans: The partial pressure(of a constituent) is fraction of total pressure exerted by the mixture as a whole.

For example,

Atmospheric air is a mixture of dry air and water vapor.

The atmospheric pressure is the sum of partial pressure of dry air and partial pressure of water vapor.

(P)atm = (P)dry air + (P)water vapor
