What is the effect of reheating on steam quality?
Answer: The quality of the steam increases after reheating. As you can see the dryness fraction of the steam would have been X6' if reheating was not used. But due to reheating the dryness fraction is increased to X6 after reheating. The more the value of the dryness fraction of the steam at the exit of the turbine the better it is for the life of the turbine.
